OnBoard Day 08 - Radar Tab

Today's training covers the filter buttons located in the Radar tab of a contact.  The Radar shows streams of information about the contact including Notes, Emails, SMS Text messages, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn feeds.  The stream icons are either ON (Dark) or OFF (Light Gray).  To limit which streams are shown in the radar tab simply click on the icon to make the icon dark to turn on that filter.  In the example below I have the first 3 stream filters ON which are Notes, Emails and SMS Texts.  The Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are light gray and turned OFF so they will not show in the radar tab.

Filters:

  • Notes - All notes entered by a user into this contact.
  • Emails - Any email sent to the contact email address or received into the dropbox email address.
  • SMS Text - Text messages sent to this contact.
  • Facebook - All Facebook feeds from this contact.
  • Twitter - Tweets by this contact.
  • LinkedIn - Messages from this contact.

The results are the same with Notes and Emails selected or un-selected?

If you have only one selected, that is all that should display. If you have both selected, both will display. Is that what's happening or are you seeing something different?

By default, none of the icons such as notes, emails, text, etc are selected on my contacts, yet notes do display and some emails display? When I select Notes the same notes continue to display. When I select emails, the same emails continue to display?

Right! If you have none selected, all will display. If you have only one selected, then only that kind will display.

I know this thread is a bit dated, but just to jump in if it isn't too late... I had wondered the same thing as Louis Sahagun and here's where I think the misunderstanding is... If on a contact I click at the far right tab "Email", I see lots of emails I've sent to and received from the client. I believe this is being pulled from my Microsoft Exchange account. But if under the "Notes & Correspondence" section I click on the notes icon and email icon, it's the same as if I just click on the notes icon only. Because the contact I'm looking at hasn't received any emails from me through the Realvolve system, no emails are showing. So I'm assuming that in this particular section the only email that displays is email that comes from inside Realvolve? As opposed to when I click on the far right tab, through the interface to the Exchange server it's showing me all emails outside of Realvolve that I've sent. Is that correct?
