Importing Contacts from "Listings to Leads"

  1. Setup a http://parser.zapier.com account
  2. Setup a new mailbox
  3. Go to your listingstoleads.com account and add the mailbox address that you created on step 2 into the email options.
  4. Visit the listingstoleads.com website and create a sample lead account as if you were a new visitor to the account so the data is forwarded to the email account on step 2
  5. Edit the parsing template and map out the fields you need imported into Realvolve.
  6. Go to http://www.zapier.com
  7. login or setup an account if needed
  8. Click on [MAKE A ZAP!] button on the main screen.
  9. In the "Choose a Trigger App" type "Email Parser by Zapier" and select the icon.
  10. Select "(*) New Email" then click "Save + Continue"

Hi Sean - Can you please tell me what error you're getting on what step? Thanks!

HI Gary- Yes. I have asked about this integration before after getting the error. The error message is coming from "Realvolve: realvolve-production.herokuapp.com returned (422) Unprocessable Entity and said "Contact could not be saved-First Name can't be blank". " I tried it multiple times with different landing pages and got the same result. I emailed in and you told me that it wasn't possible at this time. It's very frustrating because I can see how Realvolve can help me in so many ways, but every time I try to integrate it with another tool it doesn't work. What is most frustrating is seeing CRM's like top producer, and even realty juggler have these integrations. One of the reasons I went with Realvolve was because I saw the potential to automate tasks, but if I end up having to put leads into the system manually it's nowhere near as good as it could be. Most of these tools have a simple way to parse data that is emailed in to them and don't rely on Zapier to parse the data. You just add an email address to the tool, it sends the data and the CRM processes it from that email. Sorry, probably a bit more than you asked for but I seem to run into this with every tool I use with Realvolve except IDX Broker which works flawlessly :).

HI Sean - sorry - it has not. It's the only one that doesn't work because it has multiple sources. We can automate importing of leads from any other source but that one. We did finish our API though, so if they're willing to integrate, they can start the process at http://go.realvolve.com/api
I created a ticket on this for you and the last entry was asking you to set up a meeting with Mark Stepp. Did that ever happen?

Yes, I signed up for a 30 minute call with Mark and he spent an hour with me trying to get it to work. It never did. I do appreciate that he tried though. It's probably the biggest frustration for me regarding Realvolve. I'm really not sure why it doesn't have an email parser as part of the system. We really shouldn't have to work with a third party system just to get contacts into our CRM. I honestly don't even use Realvolve as much as I could or should just because trying to get contacts/leads to flow into it is exhausting. I spent 4 days moving contacts into the system from L2L last week and then categoizing them.
