Google Sync an iphone from a CSV file to avoid Duplicate Records?

Q: We have 4000 contacts in iphone which we have downloaded to CSV file. We have 1300 contacts in Realvolve some of these maybe duplicates. What is the best way without duplicating to get the 4000 into Realvolve?

A:  If you import the CSV and there are duplicates, you can set up the import to merge based on name or email during the import. The problem would be the google sync of iPhone could cause duplicates also. You would be better off to set the names all correct in Realvolve first. Then wipe the google and iphone contacts. Then sync to google which would then sync to the iPhone so everything is consistent. we do have some options to merge contacts after they are in Realvolve under Settings > Merge Wizard.
