Importing MLS data?

Q: Are you able to pull data from the MLS's listed in the Realvolve platform?

A: Not yet. We are currently working on a feature to import your feature listings into Realvolve if you have an IDX Broker Account. Each MLS has different requirements and features. We are doing this step first because IDX Broker currently has access to a TON of MLS's which allows us to build the link once and have access to them all. (11-5-15)

How can I fetch my past transactions and put them into RealVolve... please don't tell me I have to enter each one by hand including grabbing photos!

First, please realize that there is no other CRM on the market that has the ability to bring in any transaction information. We can bring in transactions and listings and connect them to the buyer/seller IF the data is in the right format. We do not bring in photos though.

What is the time frame for fetching MLS data?

I used Resio briefly, Resio was able to fetch mls data, I beleive from realtor.com data feed somehow. Is there a way to do that with realvolve? Be able to import Both listing for our sellers and transaction data for our buyer clients would be a huge timesaver. Thx.

We have many users who have an IDX Broker account who have an API Key for it. For those people, they can import listings that way. Other than that we have no function to import listings from any other source. We will be adding more IDX providers as we go but that's it for the foreseeable future.

Thx, Gary. I do not use idx broker, however, I use Boomtown... so expanding the idx API options is helpful. My referencing that Resio was using realtor.com API was because it did not require a subscription to an idx provider and realvolve maybe able to use a public portal and map fields once instead several times for the larger idx providers.

I would say realtor.com would be the way to go because I am sure they get data from all the MLS, so if you can get this to work, it would be great for all your users. Fif this is not possible at least allow us to create an export file from our local MLS to MAP INTO REALVOLVE Properties/Transaction.   Users will create/save their own MLS Export within the MLS and map it to existing fields within Realvolve which would can be a saved mapping for future use. I don't use Idx broker like a lot of other users. Hate to have to pay for another service just to get this feature. This just seems so easy to Add

I have found away to bring in property data into RV - If your mls allows you to create a saved export file (comma type with first row contains field names) with property info, you can import it into RV (in my sample tests). You will have to map the fields to proper RV Fields. Save the RV Import Mapping so you can use it later.  I do not right now there is some issue with apn# coming into RV but others info seems to be ok. Will be testing more.

Yes you can import Properties or Transactions in Settings, Imports. You'll just have to add the Parties such as the Seller or Buyer manually.

I just added my IDX Key to import listings from the MLS, but properties that were previously entered from a prospect stage are now duplicated. How can I have RV pull from the MLS into the current property I already have set up without it duplicating?

If there is a current accurate MLS number then it should add the info to that existing Property. If you don't add the MLS # before it syncs, it will add it.

If I create a property and add the MLS #... will it auto-fill the details? How do I accomplish this?

    Hey Justin,

If you have your own web site and you are using the company called IDX Broker for your IDX solution, then you will be able to get an API key from them. You can use that in Realvolve in Settings, Integrations, and it will import your listing information for you. If you do not have an account with that specific company you can’t import listings because we have no function to import listings from any other source. We will be adding more IDX providers as we go but that's it for the foreseeable future.

    Hey Justin,

It only works with the specific company, IDX Broker. We chose that particular company because we have so many users who already use it. That said, down the line, we will add more IDX solutions. I wish I had better news, but Flex MLS is one of the bigger IDX solutions and we'll definitely be adding them down the road.
