A: Changing the Status from 'Active' to 'Pending' it will ask if you want to start a transaction.

How do I delete a transaction?

Can you answer this in full please? What happens to the listing once the transaction is created?

Nothing. It stays there as a Pending Listing. There is no reason to ever delete them unless it is some unique reason, mistake, etc.

So when the "listing" that has now been created as a "Transaction" as it is pending stays there until day of closing and then I update the "Listing" as well as the "Transaction"? Isn't that doubling up the need to close one deal?

There is every reason to keep them for future reference, and no reason to delete them.

OK Gary. Not for the first time we do not seem to communicate very well with one another. As the comment email is a no reply one, and the chat function is not on, the only alternative is to post publicly here, or on FB which is not what I would have preferred to to have done.

I am not sure why there is always such misunderstanding. Firstly, you have not answered the question fully. What happens to the listing? It has generated a transaction when changing the status, so now there are 2 things for the same property. A listing and a transaction. Both are now listed as pending.

There is absolutely NO reason to keep 2 records of 1 property unless you are representing both sides, and if there is perhaps you can with your wisdom explain the reasoning? If I need a record of the "transaction" I have it there. The transaction is also a record of the listing just in its pending and closed form.

So what happens to the listing? We turn that into sold on closing day as well as the transaction? Now it is pending, it is not a listing as it is no longer on the market, yet still there showing as such on my RV account as well as in transactions.

Chat has been on most of the day and for the last couple hours.Sorry if you happened to try when it was closed.
The listing stays there. The listing has a good deal of information that does not transfer to the transaction. Hence one reason for keeping it.
If you wish to see only Pending Properties, or Pending or Closed Transactions, then you just leave those filters on when displaying them. Another reason not to delete them.
But if you don't care to keep them then you need not. it's a personal choice. I never deleted old listings or transactions because I wanted to keep them as reference. Most people do which is why we have it that way.
    Everyone has their preferences.
    Have I answered your question?

Hello Z - Your Property Status has to be Active and then when you change it to Pending it will ask you if you want to create a Transaction. Was that the problem?

    Z McT-Contreras

Unfortunately, this has not happened. I have changed it to pending but it did not ask me anything.

Actually, it is asking me "Would you like to add transaction for this property?" I do say yes, however, it only gives me the option to add "Would you like to add a Listing Expiration activity?" I do not wish to add this. I would like to add a workflow that I created for "In Escrow".

To add a workflow you go to the Transaction created for the Property, in the Radar, and "Start a workflow". Is that what you mean?

Yes, the property is created. It was under pre-marketing and I had a "McT-New Listing Workflow" on it. I then put it Active and then pending. I want to add the" McT- In Escrow" workflow but it does not give me the option in the drop down menu.

If it is a Transaction workflow then you need to start it in the Transaction, not the Property. You might want to take a look at this - http://go.realvolve.com/training/realvolve-transactions

I understand this, however, from transaction, there it does not give me the option.

I was just in your account. If you are in a Transaction, not a Property. Your Escrow workflow is available in the drop-down. If you are in a Property it will not be. If you still need help figuring it out we'll be happy to help you on Live Chat after 11:00 EDT today. How does that sound?

It is available. It is just not showing the workflow that I mentioned above.

Gary Hall, I have two questions which been bugging me for a while now.

    - Why when I update the transaction to 'closed' the associated property does not update automatically to 'closed' as well? I have to manually update in two places which is troublesome. Can we fix that?

    - Sold price. When I create a property, I indicate a listing price. When I create a transaction by switching the status of the property to 'pending' I enter the final sold price. Why can't we have both? Original price and sold price? Also would love to see them update automatically so we don't have to manually update all the records.

    Kindly,
    Alex

Hey Alex, we like your suggestions! Make sure and do a Feature Request here: https://help.realvolve.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200134859-Feature-Requests so that other users can up vote it.

As far as the Original price and Sold price, I think a good workaround - for now - would be to pin a note to the top of your Closed Transactions!

I am having the same problem as Z McT-Contreras. You did not answer his question and I am getting very frustrated too because I can't get it to go over to transactions. Please answer our question with an actual solution. Everything that Z McT-Contreras said in his remarks, is exactly what is happening to me.
