Can a template email only be sent through a workflow?

Q: Can a template email only be sent through a workflow?

A:  If you setup a template for a Property then you need to email it from a property - same for Transactions - they only show in the template list if the "Use With" of the template is set to the section you are emailing from... This is because templates can have merge fields which have to come from a record in the database - that requires you to be in the correct database section to have access to the correct fields.
